Description
I love to see stories unfold in front of me. That's why I absolutely love the fact that I am a photographer and that I get to capture these stories so that they stand the test of time. You will get a sense of calm from me on your wedding day, with guidance based on over 20 years experience photographing over 400 weddings. You will receive my utmost care and attention not only on your wedding day but throughout your whole wedding journey. The images you receive will tell the story of your unique and special day, images that you will treasure, no gimmicks, just an honest representation of you as a couple on one of the most important days of your life.
I also have a photography studio and love the fact that many of my couples return with their new additions to their family after the wedding.
I am a lover of movies, scotch, hugs, pets, family time, open fires, love stories and kind hearted, genuine people.
So if this sounds like the kind of person you'd love to spend your time with on your wedding day & you would love natural and relaxed, yet timeless & elegant images I would love to chat.

Wedding Advice
Richard Mc Carthy Photography
Build some breathing space into your timeline. It’s the best way to stop and actually experience your wedding day.
So much of the day moves quickly and couples often go from one moment to the next without time to take it all in. So, aim to be ready 20 mins before the ceremony so you can enjoy a glass of champagne with your girls. An extra 10–15 mins after the ceremony so you can take a breath to just take it all in. Give yourself time after your drinks reception to take a short walk together before dinner or watch the sunset from your bridal suite after dinner. These small pauses let you connect, reset, and notice the people who travelled to celebrate with you. From a photography perspective, this also creates natural, unhurried moments, the laughs, hugs, and quiet glances that tell the real story of your day. A wedding isn’t a performance or a schedule to survive, it’s a day to feel, remember, and enjoy together.
